According to Guitar World October 1991 this is a 1989 stock Les Paul Custom that Kirk outfitted with EMGs and later replaced the hardware from gold to black.
Kirk has used it so much over the years that not only did he replace the original gold hardware with a black Tone Pro’s bridge/stop tailpiece and Sperzel locking tuners, but much of the paint is worn off the back on the neck.
